Hi Friends,
Don’t run from it.
Tackle it!
You can do this!
As I write this, I’m working hard to keep my word count goals up to date each month as I approach my contract deadline for my next book about Magdelena’s story in the Amish Charm Bakery Series. She’ll be book five. I love the verse. “Be still and know that I am God.” It’s simple but reminds me He’s in control. During this virus, I have taken more walks, and I have paid more attention to the beauty of the flowers, palm trees, and wildlife. Now, the bobcat and alligators are better enjoyed at the zoo. I don’t need to run into them again! I love to swim and the pool and beach are open. I’ve received more cards than usual, and I‘ve sent a lot to friends and family. They were fun to write and to receive! They were unexpected blessings that kept my mood uplifted. These things also interfered with me getting my writing done, so I had to get it together! And I did.
I’ll be interviewed for Tracy’s podcast next month, and I’m a keynote speaker for the SoCal conference in July which will be offered virtually. I shy away from these new things, and then God sends Tracy and Susan my way to force me to prepare for the next step of the future in writing, which will make these steps much easier.
I had a discouraging day with writing, and then God makes Grace’s Forgiveness first on the best sellers list on Amazon for two days. I found it by accident! He always reels me back in just when I’m sinking a little.
Maybe you have a writing, sewing, knitting, crochet, household, or other project you’d like to finish, but it seems daunting. Tackle it again or discard it. Pray about it. Do something you’d really enjoy. Maybe you need help from a friend. It doesn’t have to be big. Just something you’ve always wanted to do.
